Welcome

Hi, my name is Pascal Pernet and photography has been a passion of mine for many years. I grew up in the eastern part of the Vaud region, a place that inspires me enormously in my photography. I love capturing a multitude of subjects, from portraits, animals and landscapes to products and macro photography. Each photo tells a story, and I hope you enjoy my captures as much as I enjoyed making them!

My first experience of photography .... no, I'm joking, I'm not that old....quoi that...I was born in 1965, this camera was a present from a little cousin Marcel Favre, it's interesting to discover the beginnings of cameras

This is my first film camera, a Yashica Fx-7 bought in the 1980s with a kit of 35mm, 50mm, 135mm macro and later 300mm lenses.
I was mainly making slides. You can see that it has suffered the ravages of time, the leatherette has practically disappeared.
Eres digital...
In the 2000s I went digital with this model, Sony Mavica FD-95, it had an optical range of 39 to 390 mm, photos were recorded on a 3.5-inch floppy disk, which meant that at full resolution of the 2.1Mp sensor you could record 4 photos, at that time the lens was stabilised.

This is my first digital SLR, a Canon Eos 350d. I don't own most of the cameras any more because, in order to evolve, I've sold the bodies each time in order to move upmarket, and the lenses too, because they're EF-S models specially designed for APSC sensors.

Replacing my old Canon with a newer model with higher resolution and improved autofocus with Dual-Pixel technology

My neighbour helped me discover the appeal of wildlife photography, and as the weight of my equipment is important when I'm out and about, I bought a high-performance Olympus camera with incredible possibilities, and the compactness of the lenses is a major advantage when I'm out and about.

I switched to full format with a present from my wife... a Canon 5d mark IV that I still own. I use it mainly for portraits and various projects because I have a few specific lenses for this camera, such as tilt-shift, macro 5:1 and wide-aperture lenses.

Finally, here is the latest acquisition still being developed by Olympus, and the end of the Olympus camera brand, bought out by JPI to become OM System.
....My dream would be to add a Fujifilm GFX 100 medium format to my equipment in the future, when the budget allows...
